This site offers information on safety, history of the department and operations. The department finds this to be a valuable tool in communicating to our number one priority, the citizens of Somers.
To the men and women who serve in the fire, rescue and EMS service for the Town of Somers, there is nothing more important to each and every one of us than the community we serve. Each member of the fire service recognizes their responsibility to help ensure the safety of our citizens. In that regard the philosophy of providing a professional service to all our citizens has been bestowed upon every member of the Department.
As chief of this elite group of hard working and dedicated men and women I am honored and proud to be called “Chief of Emergency Services” for the Town of Somers.
The members of this elite group have a vision that I would like to share with you. Our vision is to strive to be role models in the community, to be accountable to those we serve and accountable to each other. We are committed to providing the best service through training, education and equipment. We will take the department into the future through teamwork, open and honest communications and participative decision making through out the organization. We are driven to provide efficient cost effective service to all while honoring our values.
