CPR and AED programs are designed to give you the confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life. The Somers Fire Department offers initial and recertification classes for American Heart Association CPR with AED, Pediatric CPR and First Aid, and HealthCare Provider CPR. Please contact pat.loftus@somersfire.org to be added to the list for an upcoming class. Be sure to indicate in your e-mail which class you are interested in. Once the class is scheduled you will be notified by either e-mail and/or telephone.
**HeartSaver First Aid, CPR with AED is a combined First Aid and CPR class for the general public covering Adult, Child, and Infant. Best curriculum for coaches, hikers, sports players. No Written Test.
**Pediatric First Aid with CPR and AED is a combined first aid and CPR class for parents to be, parents, grandparents, day care providers, and babysitters. The CPR portion covers Adult, child, and Infant. No Written Test.
**Health Care Provider CPR with AED. This curriculum covers CPR in a professional setting. Used by MD's, Paramedics, EMT's, EMR's, RN's, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, LPN's, CNA's, etc. Written Test Required.
Requirements for the CPR classes are as follows:
1.) Students must register ahead
2.) All Classes are two nights and run from 6pm - 10pm
3.) All Classes are $75.00
4.) Minimum of 5 students to a maximum of 15 students per class
5.) All Classes are held at the Somers Fire Department
