Below is the MSA air pack that was recently purchased after receiving a federal grant worth approximately $120,000. This airpack was tested against other manufacturers like SCOTT, SURVIVAIR, DRÄGER, and INTERSPIRO. After much testing all airpacks had much to offer, but MSA won the award and outfitted the department with 19 air packs and 38 air pack bottles to go along with the air packs. Another portion of the grant allowed us to purchase a mask fit tester which is a annual requirement for every fire department. Until now we have relied on other departments or the State of Connecticut to provide this test.
