Somers Fire Department

established 1937

             The Somers Fire Department has junior membership known as "Squad 2" for 16 and 17 year olds interested in the Fire / EMS service. The "Squad 2" members attend department drills, and after completing a training program, are permitted to attend calls to assist by doing non-hazardous tasks under the direction of a line officer.
